L'Oeil du Loup was founded by Laureline Carbuccia, social psychologist, and Johanne Ranson, marriage and family counselor also trained in PRODAS* and Non-Violent Communication**. Together, they decided to combine their skills to create expertise in the following areas:
- inequalities, discrimination and the psychological and social mechanisms that cause them
- gender issues and social relationships between the sexes
– emotional and sexual life and the reduction of risks associated with sexuality
- group support for individuals with a view to developing their personal and interpersonal skills and all their psychosocial abilities
- communication and conflict management
– scientific expertise and support for organizations (conducting studies and research, popularizing and explaining social issues, support for change, training)
The social-psychology is a scientific discipline that studies the mental processes and behavior of individuals interacting within groups and society as a whole. It sheds valuable light on the causes and effects of behavior. Considered by many to be the science of conflict, it is the field of expertise of social thought - particularly through the study of representations, stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination - of intergroup relations, but also of group facilitation and dynamics.
Marriage and family counseling is a profession of listening to and supporting individuals, couples and families in situations where their emotional, relational and sexual life is at stake. People are supported in identifying these situations, activating their own resources, particularly psychological resources, and informing their decisions.
*The Emotional and Social Development Program is an educational method for personal development, based on the expression of feelings.
** Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a process of conscious communication that seeks the quality of the relationship by promoting authenticity with oneself and with others.
