Gender-based and sexual violence among adolescents: prevention and action
For the past seven years, we have been conducting numerous interventions to promote gender equality and education in emotional, relational and sexual life with different audiences, in which the issue of consent plays a major role. These interventions show us the extent to which girls and boys have a very stereotypical view of their roles and places in society, their relationships and sexuality. These beliefs often lead to a trivialization of violent behavior and cause some boys to “insist” and force a relationship without even realizing its abusive nature (at what point can we talk about rape?), and some girls to give in without managing to express the reality of their desire.
We offer a one-day training course divided into two parts. The morning is designed to raise awareness of the phenomenon and the issues surrounding gender-based and sexual violence. The afternoon focuses on finding solutions with subgroup exercises based on practical cases from situations observed in the field.
